My First 5k Run

My First 5K run!
I trained for a couple months. My goal was to run it in 45-60 min and I ended up completeing it in 47 min. I was little nervous, having never run in a 5K before, and though there were clearly the 'serious' runners who were participating, it was immediately clear that this was just a laid-back enviroment.The race started just as the sun began to peek out above the mountains, it was absolulty beautiful! Though it was alot hotter than I planned. I usually run in the evenings with my dog daisey. So needless to say, with the heat and my running partner not being there it was alot harder than I thought. It was such an awesome experience to pass that finish line!

This was great fun!! We got to hang out with the family again, and we met Todd's newgirl friend Anne....We all just loved her!

Camping this year was a challage cause everytime we went we got rained on!!!
I caught my first two fish EVER this trip!! The dogs love going and being able to play outdoors!

Summer Fun!!

This has been a wonderful warm summer with lots of fun!
This is one of the main reasons that I haven't been good at keeping up at my blogging!
Basically as soon as the rain stopped we were so busy, having fun.

Our Garden!!!

This is our garden...it is starting off slow but still growing. Due to all the rain we received in June I am sure that the plants will start growing big in no time!

Most of our plants are in the garden, but I planted a lettuce garden in a wheel barrow. So when it starts to get to too warm I can move it into a shady area. We also have two pear trees, a huge apricot tree. There will be lots of picking and canning to do when the vegetable's and fruit are ready!!

My Baby Girl....

This is my BABY!! Daisey she loves her "BABIES" she carries them around gaurds them from Dalbert and plays with them! Its so cute! I cant wait until this fall when we are going to have her breed!! She will make the most beautiful babies!

Hanging out with the family...

Christian and I drove up to Wyoming in the end of May for Cherish and Noel's graduation.
Cherish is now done with High School and Noel is done with some college! Both girls are moving in together this summer for college! I am excited for them, and the new adventure that they are about to embark on!

Rain Rain...

Rain...Rain...Rain..
I usually don't mind rain. But Utah doesn't get a whole lot of it!!
But for 5 days staight its alittle much
Sunday...the lawn couldn't get mowed do to rain...
Monday...more rain
Tuesday...rain and more rain
Wednesday...more rain get suck walking from work with no umbrella CAN YOU SAY SOAKED!
Thursday...Rain after lunch black sky pouring rain and hale!!!

So today you can see why excited to see sun and blue sky!!! The rain has ruined the last few weekends that we were going to go camping plus I am so ready fun summer and warm weather!!

Planting...

SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!!

Today I me and the dogs worked in the yard. Daisey and Dalbert lover being out in the yard right now! I planted some sun flower seeds, zennia's, daiseys and herbs. There is still plenty to do!!

Christian and I went to the nursery tonight and got alot of plants for our garden. (which he might be doing this weekend without me since I will be in Arizona).

Swine Flu...among other things...

I am so ready for the Swine Flu to be over!!!
If you didn't know I work for a Pediatrican's Office, and it seems like everyone who comes in is concerned about getting the Swine Flu! I wish people wouldn't pay so much attention to the news and just remember that it is JUST THE FLU!!

Anyways...this past weekend we went to my parents-in-law down in Monroe Utah which is about two in half hours south from our home. I always like going down there, its a nice change of pace from the busy life. Plus I get along so well with them its nice to hang out with them.
We celebrated Christian's birthday(which isn't till next week May 12th), by going out to dinner at this place called the Big Rock Candy Mountain had a nice time.
